Terms of Use
Effective date: May 13, 2026
Last updated: June 15, 2026
These Terms govern your access to and use of Korean for Americans, the product website, and support channels.
By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Provider, purpose, and educational limits
Narak provides Korean for Americans. The app provides hangul, vocabulary, phrases, audio practice, and review for self-guided Korean study.
The Service is for education and practice. It does not guarantee fluency in Korean, exam results, school admission, employment, travel outcomes, translation accuracy for important decisions, or any specific learning result.
2. App marketplace terms
Apps distributed through Apple App Store and Google Play are also subject to the applicable store terms, platform rules, and device operating-system requirements.
If the Apple-distributed app does not include a separate custom EULA in App Store Connect, Apple's standard licensed application end user license agreement applies in addition to these Terms.
3. Limited license and acceptable use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service on compatible devices you own or control.
- Do not copy, resell, redistribute, sublicense, scrape, or commercially exploit lessons, text, audio, graphics, or interface materials.
- Do not bypass purchases, unlocks, rate limits, security features, or store rules.
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile, interfere with, or disrupt the Service except where applicable law allows.
- Do not use the Service for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, invasive, or rights-violating purposes.
4. Purchases, restore, and refunds
Paid features may be offered as in-app purchases or unlocks. Billing, taxes, refunds, cancellation rules, purchase history, and payment disputes are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play under their own policies.
Use the in-app restore option, where available, with the same store account used for the original purchase. Restore availability may depend on store rules, region, account status, and platform limitations.
5. Content, availability, and user responsibility
We may update, correct, add, remove, or reorder lessons, vocabulary, examples, audio, features, pricing, and technical requirements.
Language examples are educational and may simplify context. You are responsible for verifying meaning, pronunciation, cultural usage, and suitability before relying on any phrase in travel, academic, business, legal, medical, or high-stakes settings.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including software, text, audio, lesson structure, brand, design, illustrations, icons, and other materials, belongs to Narak or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
7. Disclaimers and liability limits
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, data-loss, revenue-loss, opportunity-loss, or learning-outcome damages related to the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms when the product, law, store rules, or our practices change. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
